SAG is a private independent owned company founded some several years ago by Dr. Hassan Mohamed Ahmed and his family.

Starting with one employee the company now has staff of sixty five, and an annual turn over approaching 200 millions Sudanese Pounds.

The company has diversified activities which include the following:

1.      Importation of vegetable seeds.

2.      Importation of hybrid sunflower seeds.

3.      Agricultural pesticides.

4.      Agricultural fertilizers.

5.      Agricultural equipments and agricultural implements.

6.      Jute bags and polypropylene bags.

7.      Veterinary drugs and veterinary Equipments.

8.      Feed concentrates and feed additives.

9.      Labratory chemicals and lab. Equipments.

10.Water pumps.

11.Vehicles and drilling equipments.

12.Industrial chemicals.

13.Tractor spare parts.

14.Generating sets and power stations.

15.Workshop equipments and tools.

               In the last few years we won the following contracts financed by international Organizations or Sudan Government own resources. These contracts ate:

·         Northern Province Irrigation project contract for the supply of 100 eight inch pumps financed by EEC.

·         Jebel Marra Rural Development Programme for supply of vehicles and drilling equipments financed by EEC.

·         Agricultural Bank of Sudan of 20000 bales of 300 bags 2.25 wt by bales financed by African Development Bank.

·         Agricultural Bank of Sudan contract for supply of Agricultural land preparation implement financed by International Fund of Agricultural Development (IFAD).

Beside above we have awarded the contracts for the supply Industrial Chemicals, P.P. bags, seed drills, planters…etc.

Now “SAG” has the following products under tests by Governmental Units. These products are:

v      M/S Moro Porto of Italy light offset disc harrow (test is completed and waiting for final report and recommendation).

v      M/S Trattori Lamborghini of Italy medium horse power of 80 engine horse power(2WD), test was started by mid June 1995 (By Agricultural Engineering Affairs).

v      M/S ZoizperS. Coop Ltd of Spain back pack duster and manual knapsack sprayers (two models), under test by Plant Protection Department.

v      M/S Basf of Germany foliar fertilizers, test is run by Agricultural Research Corporation.

“SAG” also has a thriving trade dealing in the export the following:

o        Sesame seeds.

o        Sunflower seeds.

o        Sorghum.

o        Karkadi flowers.

o        Gum Arabic.

o        Guar gum.

We have to advice that “SAG” have several selling centers distributed in the main products areas of Sudan for selling direct to the farmers the following:

§         Vegetable imported seed from big suppliers.

§         Vegetable local seed varieties.

§         Fertilizers (e.g. foliar urea and triple super phosphate).

§         Pesticides for the control of vegetables and fruit pesticides Registered by other companies.

§         Herbicides on vegetables and fruit trees- Registered by  other companies.

§         Pesticides for Public Health- by other companies.

§         Knapsack, motorized sprayers.

§         Agricultural land preparation implements and agricultural equipments.

§         Different pump sizes.

This side of the business has grown rapidly and now represents over 50% of the company’s turnover.

v      M/S Motan Swingter GMBH Germany for fogging machine.

v      M/S Goizepr S.Coop Ltd Spain for back-packed duster and sprayers.

“SAG” Consultants is a Sister Company established by highly qualified and experienced Personnel in 1993. “SAG” consultants provide full rang of services relating to all stages of Agricultural Rural Development and environment conservation projects and activities, whether for long or short term programmes. These services include:
